This is Brown Bird. And that is their new album, Salt for Salt.

You can get it here: http://brownbird.bandcamp.com/album/salt-for-salt

I first saw them at the Newport Folk Festival this summer. They played an 11:00 am set on Sunday to an eager crowd in an overflowing tent. There were so many incredible bands at the Festival this year, and Brown Bird was one of my favorites.

I was so very lucky to host them at the 138 Listening Lounge last Friday. It was an amazing show. They play as a duo, but masterfully rotate through enough instruments to outfit an orchestra. In addition to their immense talent, they are also two of the nicest and most genuine people I have met. Brown Bird was the perfect cure for the rainy October week we were experiencing.

I am sure they can be the cure for whatever ails you.

A trio of Ingrid Michaelson fans, with matching t-shirts and a shiny, black ukulele!

I found my tile from last year’s Art For All Mural!

I snuck in a ukulele today & was able to get it signed by a bunch of artists at the festival.
